At the age of 36, during a family gathering (my kids were together with their father who was visiting for the holidays) I had a severe panic attack. It was so bad that an ambulance was called and arrived immediately…It then took a year of tests and doctor visits to conclude that my physical heart was fine. I knew my heart wanted my attention and for the first time in my life I agreed to listen.
I moved away from the path I was on and chose a new one …  I chose to follow my heart…got a teacher’s diploma and started teaching Dance Theater in a local high school. Then Dance Therapy, then YOGA.
Following my heart, allowed me to find a loving relationship that was not based on fear. 8 years later (16 years after my previous marriage fell apart)Â I met Boaz, the man that holds the string of the balloon (that I am), so I can fly freely and continue the quest of the heart.
I still have panic attacks, but these are rare and manageable through breath techniques, through the asana practice and through meditation.
This is me…Atha yoga anushasanam – and NOW yoga…
