Dear friends💜
After being in a state of low vibrations, it is time for me to elevate and to remind myself and you, of our Divine origin.
The Crown Chakra is located at the top of the head. The meaning of Sahasrara is “thousand-petaled” and represents a thousand petaled lotus flower. The physical areas are the pituitary gland, the cerebral cortex, and the central nervous system.
Sahasrara represents the goal of Yoga, Self-Realisation and God-Realisation, where the individual should unite with Cosmic Consciousness. In meditation the Yogi reaches Nirvikalpa Samadhi (the highest level of Samadhi) at the Sahasrara Chakra, where the mind finally comes to complete stillness and finds the union of knowledge, the knower and the object of knowledge. This is liberation or Moksha, a complete liberation from the cycle of rebirth and death.
Alan Finger writes: ” The goal of yoga is to clear sahasrara’s screen so that pure consciousness can reflect clearly and not be obscured by the illusions of maya…The first step toward clearing the mind is to practice asanas and bring balance to the physical body. Asanas help to lessen the mind’s fluctuations (vritti) and release karmic patterns (samskaras) that have become locked in the body. At the end of each asana practice, it is important to execute one final pose, Savasana. Savasana is considered one of the most healing asanas, because it allows you to completely integrate your yoga practice and further relax and balance each segment of your body. As you go through Savasana and focus on relaxing each body part you stop the electrical impulse to the specific area of your brain that is associated with that body part, and your mind becomes still…Once relaxation is achieved the brain ceases all superfluous activity and you can experience complete surrender.”
In my own personal practice I find meditation a great way for developing the Crown chakra. Where consciousness can realize itself. Where I can nourish and heal the spirit. We take care of our bodies through the asana practice and we take care of our soul by becoming still.
