The Throat Chakra – Vishuddha

Dear friends💜

Vishuddha means the pure place.
When Vishuddha is balanced, we discover our authentic voice and can be ourselves in all situations. Our communication is clear and untainted, and we come to others with compassion and kindness. We have the space to see ourselves clearly and can let the divine wisdom of the universe guide each moment of our lives.
When Vishuddha chakra is open and well balanced, we are able to express our beliefs, creativity and emotional needs openly, without fearing others’ opinions. But a blockage in the throat chakra often distorts our ability to communicate: we might speak half truths or untruths, even if unknowingly; and we might put on a brave face rather than attempt to express inner turmoil or dissatisfaction. Alternatively, we might suffer from verbal diarrhea that drains our vishuddha energy. Many negative habits are linked to imbalances in the throat chakra, for example, gossiping, over eating, Obsessive behavior may also stem from an inability to assimilate energy and communicate in healthy ways.

Vishuddha chakra is the center of extreme purification. It purifies all of the chakras and brings harmony into our being. Vishuddha facilitates communication between our individual spirit (Jiva) and the spirit of the universe (param atman). It connects us to a higher plane of consciousness, so that we can tap into our creativity and intuition and find inspiration in life. Vishuddi represents a state of openness, in which life is regarded as the provider of experiences that lead to greater understanding. And instead of trying to avoid unpleasant aspects in life and seeking pleasant ones, we allow things to happen in the way that they must, thus gaining proper understanding and full acceptance of the dualities and polarities of life.
